Enhancing Power Measurement Precision: The New WT1800R Series for High-Efficiency Applications

Building on the high measurement performance and broad input range of the WT1800E Series, the new WT1800R offers a diverse set of math functions and the flexibility to integrate with other measurement instruments. It meets the needs of a wide range of power measurement applications, including efficiency testing for automotive motors.

Key Features

    1. High Accuracy and Wide Measurement Range
The WT1800R guarantees ±0.1% power accuracy, enabling precise measurements even with significant phase differences between voltage and current, thanks to low power-factor error. Its AC accuracy spans from 1% to 110% of the selected voltage and current range, ensuring reliable measurements across dynamic current levels. This versatility makes the WT1800R suitable for a wide array of power measurement applications.
    1. Enhanced Motor Evaluation with Math Functions and Synchronous Measurement
Supporting high-efficiency motor control, the WT1800R calculates Ld and Lq values, with preset formulas to simplify parameter calculations. With the IS8001/IS8002 Integrated Software Platform, users can remotely operate the WT1800R from any PC and save measurement data. This platform also enables synchronized measurements between the WT1800R and waveform instruments like the DL950 data logger. When efficiency decreases during motor testing, synchronized display of power and waveform data on a single screen aids in identifying causes quickly.
    1. Optimized for High Current Measurement
An optional power supply for the WT1800R eliminates the need for an external power source when measuring high currents with a current sensor. A dedicated accessory for the CT1000S AC/DC split core current sensor will soon be available, featuring a clamp design for easy installation and removal without cable modifications.
