RIGOL Technologies is broadening its line of highly portable instruments with the launch of the DG800 Pro and DG900 Pro Series Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generators, alongside the DM858 Series Digital Multimeters. Much like their predecessors, the DHO800 and DHO900 Series High-Resolution Oscilloscopes, these latest generators and multimeters offer remarkable performance and functionality within a compact and lightweight design.
The DG800 Pro and DG900 Pro Series Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generators are feature-rich instruments. In addition to their fundamental function and arbitrary waveform generation capabilities, they encompass noise generation, pulse generation, harmonic generation, analog/digital modulation, and frequency counting. These devices boast impressive specifications, such as a maximum output frequency of up to 200 MHz, a sample rate of 1.25 GSa/s, 16-bit vertical resolution, and a 3 ns rise time. All of this is packed into a compact chassis featuring a 7” color touch display.

The new DM858 Series is a benchtop 5.5 digit Digital Multimeter (DMM) with a lightweight construction and a 7” color touch display. Offering 11 measurement functions, it provides visual display options like trend chart, histogram, and bar table, along with competitive specifications including a measurement speed of 125 readings per second and a memory logging capacity of 500,000 points.
Whether on the bench or on the go, these new instrument series not only excel in functionality but are also designed to be light and compact, optimizing space usage in both laboratory and field settings. Each unit adheres to VESA 100x100 mounting standards, allowing for the utilization of stands or movable arm mounts to enhance bench space efficiency. Equipped with a Type-C interface, these instruments, weighing less than four pounds, can seamlessly transition from the lab to the field with the help of commercially available power banks.
